BIG FLEET ASSEMBLED

BATTLE OF TRAFALGAR TO BE FILMED With virtually all of the studio interior scenes finished, the First National company filming Corinne Griffiths's big starring production, “The Bivine Lady,” will soon take to the sea. The fleet of ships purchased by Firsi National Pictures, and remodelled at enormous expense into battleships of the period of the eighteenth century, is now ready for use. Frank Lloyd, director of the big picture, expects to take his company, together with several score extras, to Catalina Island, within the next month or so, where a camp will be established for the company during the making of scenes at sea. The battle of the Nile, in which Lord Nelson conquered Bonaparte’s fleet, and the battle off Cape Trafalgar, where Nelson defeated the combined fleets of England’s foes, but lost his life, will be staged. “The Bivine Lady.” First National’s largest production of the year, gives Miss Griffith her greatest screen role as the beautiful and unfortunate Lady Hamilton. Victor Varconi and H. B. Warner, as Lord Nelson and Lord Hamilton respectively, head a supporting cast containing more than a dozen well-known plaj'ers. ,

Richard Bix is now at Paramount’s Long Island studio where he will start his first talking picture in the near future. The picture is tentatively titled, “Nothing But the Truth,” and is a talking version of the well-known stage play which was produced in Australia by Harry Greene. Victor Schertzinger will direct the production.
