FOR WAITAKI B.H.S.

ENGLISH SCHOOLBOYS HEADMASTER’S SCHEME Thirteen English public school boys who reached New Zealand yesterday by the lonic will qo on to Waitaki Boys’ High School (Oamaru) to finish their schooling. This scheme was evolved by the Rev. F. Milner, C.M.G., Rector of Waitaki. lie thought that it would, be a good thing for English boys who proposed coming to New Zealand to take up land to spend their last year at a secondary school in the Dominion. The boys who arrived yesterday are all in their last year. They will pay particular attention to the agricultural side of the school and will meet many sons of farmers who are studying there. It is Mr. Milner’s contention that the boys will be more fitted for life in New Zealand by this scheme. The parents of the boys who have come out to attend Waitaki have all guaranteed to finance their sons as soon as they are ready to go on the land.
