SHOOTING SHIELD BACK TO AUCKLAND WON BY AKARANA CLUB For the first time for 38 years the Champion Teams Match Shield has been returned to Auckland. It was won by the AXarana team at the recent New Zealand Rifle Shooting Championship meeting at Wellington, and was brought to Auckland yesterday by the members of the Akarana team. The following riflemen returned yesterday morning from Wellington: Messrs. Is T . Calder (Akarana), A. W. Powell (Akarana), W. Colquhoun (Akarana), A. C. Crossan (Akarana), Milton Clark (City and Suburban), R. Russell (City and Suburban), Perch Pring (City and Suburban), A. Patrick (City and Suburban). 1. Spry (City and Suburban), and R. Kelly (C.A.C.). Several other riflemen returned today, including G. Devore (Akarana), winner of the Service Championship.
