SMALL FIRE ON WAIPU
Shortly after 8.30 p.m. yesterday a slight outbreak of fire occurred in the forecastle of the steamer Waipu, which was berthed at the Northern Company’s Wharf. The fire started in a bunk and was extinguished by the City Fire Brigade before much damage was done.
