TWO MEN FOUND GUILTY

The burglary “jobs” at the warehouses of J. Robinson, Wellesley Street, and Sargood, Son and Ewen’s were cleared up in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, when Bertie John Christian, aged 27, and Kenneth Malcolm McDonald, 42, were found guilty on various counts.

After a retirement lasting nearly four hours the jury returned a verdict against Christian and McDonald of guilty of thieving and receiving in connection with Robinson’s robbery and not guilty of breaking and entering. Christian was found guilty on all counts in respect of the robbery at Sargoods. Sentence was deferred.
