OLD BOY’S BIG SCORE
CRICKET AT HAMILTON (Special t<T THE SUN) HAMILTON, Saturday. Apart from a big score by Old Boys, only fair tallies were made in cricket competitions in Hamilton on Saturday. Details: Hamilton East made 116 in its first innings against Frankton. S. A. R. Badeley, the ex-Parnell player, made 6S, and Cassidy 13. Frankton batted poorly in its first effort and the innings yielded 29. Hamilton hit up 118 against Old Boys, the best batters being Taylor 37,'and J. Pomeroy 2S. Old Boys, in its first innings, hit the bowling badly for a big score of 256 for three wickets. Horspool scored 82, Senior 75 and Hockin 47.
A GOOD AVERAGE (From Onr Own Correspondent) THAMES, Saturday. An excellent performance was put up by F. Gibson, of the Thames City Club, on Saturday, when he secured eight wickets for S runs in the senior grade match against High School. Six of the runs were scored from one hit.
