HOW DE VALERA SPENDS TIME IN GAOL (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Wednesday. Mr. Eamonn de Valera, leader of the Irish Republicans, who was arrested on Tuesday as he was about to enter Ulster and was lodged in gaol at Belfast, has not yet been charged. He is not likely to appear before the Court until Friday. In addition to a wide choice of literature, Mr. de Valera to-day was the recipient of a report about the test cricket match at Adelaide. This was headed, “A Bad Day for England.”
