FATAL CANOE CAPSIZE
BOY DROWNED IN LAKE
Press Association NAPIER, Thursday. , Kenneth Fraser Hill, aged 10 years, I whoso parents reside in Wellington, | his father being an engineer in ! the Public Works Department, but who j lias lived almost from infancy with his | grandmother, Mrs. A. L. D. Fraser, of j Hastings, was drowned this afternoon at Haumoana. Deceased was invited by another boy to take a canoe for a paddle on a lake. Hill did so, but was only a few yards from the shore when the craft capsized. A number of small boys on the bank ran for assistance, but by the time the body was recovered a few minutes later it was too late for efforts ! at resuscitation to succeed. ! Tliis is the third fatality at Ilaui rnoana since the New Year,
