CHILD VISITS AIRPLANE POLICE AID ENLISTED The childish curiosity of a little girl named Winnie Evans, of Gray Avenue, Mangere, was the cause of much concern during the week. With some other children she journeyed to Mr. W. W. Massey’s farm in Buckland Road. Mangere, to inspect an airplane. Her companions returned home, but Winnie lingered, and when sho did not arrive for tea her parents became alarmed, and a search was organised. The police at Otahuhu and Papatoetoe were notified, and joined in the search. About 11 p.rn. a resident of Mangere found the little girl wandering round the streets, and after making inquiries was able to return her to her distracted parents.
