RECORD CROWD ATTENDS SPORTS AT PUKEKAWA
HUNTING, CHOPPING AND RUNNING (From. Our Own Corespondent) HUNTLY, Sunday. A record crowd of over 1,200 people attended the Pukekawa sports, which were held in Mr. K. D. Orr's grounds, Pukekawa Hill, on Saturday. The sports were a great success, and in presenting the chief trophies won at the meeting, Mr. W. Lee Martin, M.P.. congratulated the club on its excellent meeting. Results: Mounted Events.—Cigar race: K. Tonga 1, Les. Cathcart 2. Tilting the ring: L. Boyd 1, K. Henry 2.
