N.Z. JOURNALIST WIN £2OO PRIZE (Australian and. N.Z. Prese Association) (United Service) ~~ Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Thursday. Miss Nell Scanlan, the Wellington journalist, has won the £2OO prize offered by the “Daily Express” for the best ‘ post-carded” film criticism. Miss Scanlan comes from Palmerstpn North, and was formerly on the staff of the “Manawatu Daily Times.” After travelling abroad she joined the staff of the “New Zealand Free Lance,” and represented that paper during the Duke of York’s tour of New Zealand. She left for England in May, 1927.
