WAIKATO BISHOP’S OFFER (Prom Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON. J'hursaay. In his monthly letter in* the February issue of the “Waikato Diocesan Magazine,” Bishop Cherrington deals with the finances of the and says it is necessary to secure £950 by Easter. If this sum is secured, only the overdraft of £2,500 will have to be considered.
The letter adds: “Not in any wishing to parade any idea of generosity, but simply in the hope of encouraging others of us to help, tne bishop will make himself responsive for giving, with the help of his per»®®V friends, or by other means. £I.OOO to* ward the overdraft on the diocese > the end of 1930.”
