New South Wales is the winner, with Victoria runner-up. New South Wales has won the Shield 18 times since the competition was inaugurated in 1892. Victoria has won it 11 times and South Australia four. TO MEET ENGLISHMEN THIRTEEN MEN CHOSEN (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY, Wednesday. The New South Wales team to play against the English cricketers on February 15-19 will be chosen from the following 13 players:—Kippax, T. Andrews, Oldfield, McCabe, Fairfax, Hooker, Marks, Bradman, Jackson, Nicholls, Everett, Morris and C. Andrews.
