GAS EXPERTS CONFER

WANGANUI WORKS INSPECTED Press Association WANGANUI, Wednesday. Seventy delegates, representing the whole of New Zealand, attended the opening session at Wanganui to-day of the annual conference of the New Zealand Gas Institute. The visitors were welcomed by the Mayor and later were the guests of the city at a luncheon. » The presidential address was delivered by Mr. W. J. Stone, manager of the Wanganui municipal gasworks. Mr. W. McAuliffe, of Lyttelton, read a paper on the experiences of a manager of a small gasworks. In the afternoon the delegates inspected the local municipal works, and to-night they were the guests at a social function.
