GOOD RUGBY SEASON
CANTERBURY SHOWS £I,OOO PROFIT Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. At a meeting of the general committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union last evening, the chairman, Mr. McPhail. said the union had had a good year financially, over £I,OOO having been handed to the trustees. A circular letter was received from the New Zealand Rugby Union, suggesting that the union should submit a list of probable fixtures and tours, so that matters might be arranged with a view to saving time and gaining convenience. Mr. S. Wilson was authorised to go into the question.
