READY AHEAD OF TIME.—The Waikaremoana hydro-electricity station has begun operations. The work has started in time to relieve Mangahao’s heavily-taxed dams. Owing to the overloading of Mangahao and the non - completion of Arapuni, the construction was expedited. Photograph gives comprehensive view of the power station and the pipe-line from the lake.
