ACTION BY GOVERNMENT 1 BILL IN PROSPECT .... i That the Government had in train * the drafting - of a. Bill designed to stop the noise of outboard motor-boats was i announced at the Harbours’ Associa- ( tion Conference this morning, by the Minister of Marine, the Hon. J. G. j Cobbe. The Minister said complaints had , been voiced by several harbour ' authorities and it was felt the time had 1 come when the. nuisance should be regulated. . . The question was embodied in a remit from the Auckland Harbour Board which suggested: “That the Harbours’ Act be amended to provide j for the regulation and control of the speed and conduct of motor launches .and oxitboards with • a view to the I restraining • and ■ prevention of nuisances:”
