THREE CITIES SACKED
FOREIGN RESIDENTS FLEE REBELLION IN CHINA (United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.5 a.m. SHANGHAI, Saturday. A mutiny has broken out in a division of native troops, the remnants of ex-Governor Chang-Hung-Chang’s army, which is stationed at Lungkow, in the Shantung Province. The coastal cities of Lungow, Hwang-Hsien and Teng Chow Fu have been sacked, and foreign residents were compelled to flee for safety aboard two Japanese Vrarships. Twenty thousand Nationalist troops have been dispatched from Ning Hai to quash the rebellion. • The mutineers looted every building, emptied the armoury and killed three high military officers and the chairman of the ITwang Hsien Chamber of Commerce.
