NEW POLITICAL POWER

OVER 5,000,000 WOMEN WILL VOTE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Thursday. The new Parliamentary registers were published to-day containing the names of 5,245,000 new' women voters. The Conservatives are organising a national recruiting campaign to enrol as many as possible of these women in the party organisation. More than 5,000 meetings are to be held in the forthcoming “new voters’ week.” In this connection Mrs. Baldwin, the wife of the Prime Minister, has issued the following message: “I believe in giving the vote to ail women. The Conservative Party has done more for the cause of peace than any previous Government, for peace is essential to women’s happiness.”
