Afghan Rumour Reaches Moscow
Rebel Chief’s Death Reported
TO have abdicated, seen the Afghan throne pass, first to his brother and then to a rebel chief in rapid succession, and then to recover liis lost crown, has been the unique experience of Amanullah, if a report which comes from Moscow is true.
The rumour of Amanullah’s return to power is supported by another from Delhi which says that Bacchisakao, the rebel King, has been killed.

Reed. 9.30 a.m. MOSCOW, Monday. Advice from Herat states that exKing Amanullah has rescinded his abdication and has assumed supreme power, now that his brother Inayatullah has been driven out ot Kabul. Bacchisakao, the new ameer, is reported to be inclined to abolish the Foreign Ministry, and to sever foreign relations except toward Britain, and to restore the country to the condition in which it was prior to the declaration of independence.
that Inayatullah surrendered the Kabul citadel to Bacchisakao in order to avoid further bloodshed. The Moslems at Peshawar have expressed sympathy with, and have eulogised Amanullah, and have urged the Moslems throughout India to support him. A revolt is reported on the western Afghan border, where the Suranis tribe captured the town of Farrak and murdered all the Afghan officials with the exception of the governor.
