"MORE BUSES”

MOUNT EDEN COUNCIL’S CRY MAYOR EXHORTED TO ACT With its Mayor on the Transport Board, the Mount Eden Borough Council is convinced that the district traffic problems should be easily rectified. At the close of last evening’s meeting, Cr. R. INI civ. Morison called attention to the infrequency of the trips made by foeder-buses at both the Mount Eden and Dominion Road tram termini. "They go only every 20 minutes,” he complained. "They could go twice as frequently. You, Mr. Mayor, as our representative on the Transport Board, could do something to have this rectified. You would help yourself and help the district. Ask for it every week until you get it.” Mr. Morison’s remarks were endorsed by several other members of the council, but Air. Potter reminded them that the board had been in existence only a few days. He would however remembev what had been asked for.
