RIALTO, AND REGENT, EPSOM
“OUT OF THE RUINS”
“Out of the Ruins,” starring Richard Barthelmess, at the Rialto and Regent (Epsom) Theatres, is based on the original short story by Sir Philip Gibbs, famous British war correspondent. It is a story about France during the reconstruction period and introduces Barthelmess as a French Blue Devil.
• The entire action of “Out of the Ruins” is laid in France during and after the World WTir. The characters are all French and Barthelmess is seen as a French soldier who deserts his outfit in order to visit his sweetheart, a role played by Marion Nixon. “Anyone Here Seen Kelly” is the title of the second feature. This is a comedy of a little French girl seeking her lover in America, with Bessie Love and Tom Moore as the stars. CLICK CLACK CABARET Another of those happy dances for which the Click Clack Cabaret is famous, will be held there this evening. Dancing will continue until midnight, to music by Clyde Howley’s Internationals.
An enchanting oriental drama is unfolded with the overpowering passions of the Fast brought into tense conflict with the social customs of the Occident in the Fc®: Films’ “Fazil.” This production is the screen version of Pierre Frondaie's famous play,
“L’lnsoumise.” Greta Nissen has the role of Fabienne, a beautiful and unconventional girl of the smart Parisian world, while Charles Farrell portrays Prince Fazil. a wealthy young tribal ruler of Arabia.
