Although the fighting has been severe in the vicinity of the British Legation, no damage is reported, and all the members of the Legation are safe. Inayatullah, who is 40 years of age, was a prominent assistant to the late King Habibullah, but after Amanullah’s accession he *as imprisoned for three years. Inayatullah’s wife is a sister of the Souriya. Amanullah'* wife.
