| SPONGE PATTIES | REF. eggs, separated , half ♦ § cup granulated sugar, half J * cup flour, one teaspoon 'a »?; orange juice, half teaspoon orange jsj O peel, one-eighth teaspoon salt. i m Beat yolks of eggs thoroughly , add A the orange juice and grated peel, ® w and one-fourth cup of sugar. Beat l l A the whites of the eggs stiffly , add P ing the salt. Then add the rest of y. ; ‘ the sugar to the whites and com bine the two mixtures . Fold in the flour. Turn into buttered and $ U; floured patty pans, sift sugar over the top of each cake for a crackly # sueet crust, and bake in a mod : crate —350 degrees—oven for about I i 25 minutes.
