RESCUES FROM SURF
BUSY TAKAPUNA SQUAD Justification for the formation of the Takapuna Surf and Rife-saving Club has been proved several times this summer. The members have moulded into an ! efficient squad of beach patrollers, and | several rescues have taken place re- | cently. Bathers are brought from the | surf almost every week-end. Yesterday afternoon a bather struck | a rock when he dived in shallow i water. He received g. deep scalp | wound. First-aid was given by j members of tbe surf club.
