CHILDREN’S PARTY
A children’s party was given recently by Mrs. Moorman, of Raetihi, in honour of her two young guests, Miss Phyllis Hackett, of Te Kuiti, and Miss Lois Laybourn, of Taupiri.
On their arrival the children were welcomed by Mrs. Moorman, and were soon busily engaged in a butterfly hunt. Further games and competitions occupied the afternoon until tea time. On entering the dining room the children were presented with paper hats. The table was decorated with streamers and confetti, in the centre of which was a birthday cake decorated with kewpies and candles. Games and competitions were indulged in during the early evening The winers of the competitions were:—Butterfly hunt, Miss Bessie Ward; variety game, Miss Della Pedersen; beans, Miss Lois Laj'bourn; flowers, Miss Bessie Ward.
