Wensley’s furniture factory, a brick building in High Street, was completely gutted by fire at 3.30 When discovered. the (lames had ! com plete charg and the brigade had no chance of -saving either the building or its contends, which were a total loss. A house adjoining was slightly damaged. The damage is estimated at over £6,000. Insurances total C 3.000. and are as follow:—Building. £1,500: machinery, £730: stock. £750. All j are held in the Liverpool, London and j Globe office.
