DARING BURGLARY IN DUNEDIN .

£3OO WORTH GONE Press Association DUNEDIN, Wednesday. A daring burglary was committed on Tuesday night in the premises of E. J. Townsend, jewel’ler, George Street, resulting in the loss of £3OO worth of stock, including the entire stock of rings and watches, besides gold chains, silver cigarette cases, and fountain pens. An unsuccessful search was made for the keys of the safe which contained about £4O in cash. Entrance was gained by breaking the back door off the hinges and sawing through the lower panels of the side door connecting the shop with the passageway. The adjoining shop of F. Lawson, bookseller, and a tailor’s workroom, occupied by R. CL Tyrrell was also entered, but nothing tnkop.
