SATISFACTORY ACTIVITIES The senior circuit steward, Mr. A. J. Pople, presented a report on the satisfactory activities of the Onehunga Methodist circuit to the quarterly meeting on Tuesday evening. The mission work has been well supported, £9l being raised for foreign missions. £49 for home missions, £lO for Indian medical missions, £5 toward the maintenance of a teacher in the Solomon Islands, and £l2 toward the Methodist Orphanage. The membership of the circuit stood at 267. an increase of seven during the quarter, and the circuit income for the quarter was £ 211, which was £ 7 above the expenditure. The services at Westney Road had been well attended, and the Sunday Schools in the circuit were in a satisfactory state. It had been necessary to enlarge the infant hall at Onehunga, at a cost of £450 toward which £320 had already been collected, the cost having been kent down through much of the work being done by voluntary labour, supervised by Mr. T. Moor. Messrs. A. J. Pople and J. Booth ?r ere x/ e 7 elected circuit stewards, and Mr. Pople was appointed to represent the; circuit at the annual conference which will be held in Auckland next month. Mr. A. W. Westney was elected substitute representative. Havin'passed in their trial sermons, Messrs W. Long and W. E. Archer were re-' cei\ ed as local preachers.
