CAR AND SHED DESTROYED

FIRE ON PARNELL PROPERTY Fire broke out at about 8.30 this morning in an outhouse used as a garage and workshop at 15 Eldon Street. Parnell, the property of Mr C. B. O’Hara. The building was completely destroyed ana a car garaged in it was also burned. It is believed that the fire was caused by petrol from a leaking carburettor dripping on to a hot exhaust pipe car. The Parnell and Remuera brigades turned out promptly, but the alarm was given too late for them to be able to make a save. The building was insured in the North British and Mercantile Office.
