UNION BANK IMPROVE by NOON CALL THERE is au excellent feeling on ’Change for bank shares and in many cases a considerable advance has been shown. National Bank of New Zealand have advanced to buyers £7 Is., sellers £7 5s 6d ex-dividend, while Union of Australia have improved to buyers £ls 14s, no sellers.

Bank of Australasias are again asked for and buyers are offering .£l4 13s 6d, tellers appearing at £l4 17s. English, Scottish and Australian Bank are quoted with buyers £S 11s, sellers £8 14s. Bank of New Zealands are firm, buyers quoting 61s 6d, sellers asking 63s 3d. Most of the insurance shares remain. A seller has appeared for A.P.A. at 10s, buyers have not yet advanced above 6s. National are steady at about 16s 6d. New Zealands have many buyers at 46s t>d. no sellers quoting. Queenslands and South British both remain firm. * * * New Zen land River Plates have keen buyers at 32s 9d. but fail to attract any sellers. New Zealand Loan and Mercantiles have persistent buyers; ord., stock offering at £ll9. Auckland Gas shares remain exceptionally firm, buyers quoting 245. sell- . rs 24s 6d. while the contributing

shares have many buyers at 17s 7d, no shares offering under 18s 3d. Waihi shares have advanced to buyers 14s sd, sellers 14s Sd and sales at 143 6d.
