ODDFELLOWS’ PICNIC

REVIVAL OF FORMER FUNCTION On Thursday, January 12, the Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows will hold a big picnic at Swanson. It is expected that something like 2,400 people will attend. Special trains will carry the majority of the picnickers from Auckland. This will be the first occasion for some years that the Oddfellows have held one of their combined picnics, and everything is being done to make the function a complete success and as popular as it was in former days.
