RECORD LONG FLIGHT
SYDNEY TO ADELAIDE
A.D.C. IN LIGHT PLANE (United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright J Reed. 9.5 S a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. A record ' long-distance flight in a light airplane was created whren Captain Grosvenor, A.D.C. to the Governor of South Australia, flew froin Sydney to Adelaide in 13 hours. Three stops were made for refuelling purposes. The actual flying time was 11 hours. This is claimed to he a world's record.
ENDURANCE RECORD ZEPPELIN’S TIME PASSED (United Service) VANCOUVER, Saturday. Major Carl Spatz and liis three companions in the Fokker monoplane ”?” late to-night had been in the air 111 hours. They thus exceeded the cruise of the Zeppelin LZI27 on her cruise from Germany to America. It is expected that the crew of the monoplane will beat Dixmude’s world's endurance record for any class of aircraft, namely, 118 hours.
