LABOURER REMANDED

SAID TO HAVE STOLEN COPPER

“BEEN HERE BEFORE” “He has been here before,” remarked Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., when William Maurice Crimmins stepped into the dock at the Police Court this morning. Crimmins, a labourer, aged 29, was charged with stealing a copper valued at £1 10s. No owner has been found for the copper. A remand was granted until Friday and Crimmins asked for bail. The magistrate demurred, but Chief-Detec-tive Hammond said that Crimmins was easily found, although he had been before the court only recently. Bail was allowed in one surety of £25.
