OUTDOOR BAND CONCERT

A balmy evening, and the reputation of the Auckland Municipal Band, attracted a large gathering to the Domain Gardena last evening, when the band gave a recital in the rotunda, near the Burns Monument. An excellent and varied programme of 11 items was arranged by the conductor, Mr. Christopher Smith. The AA r as Plerold’s “Zampa,” and other favourite numbers were “Ballet Egyptien" (Luigini), and a flute solo, “Sparkli Dewdrops” (Blancheteau), rendered bv Mr. Hal. C. McLennan.
