CHANNEL TUNNEL PLAN
KEENNESS IN FRANCE (United ServiceJ LONDON, Thursday. The Paris correspondent of the “Daily Mail” says Franc© is closely watching the revival of international interest in the Channel tunnel proposals, for which there is much enthusiasm. It is stated that were the British opposition withdrawn, France’s share of the work and the financing of the construction W'ould be voted with acclamation.
French experts estimate that as a result of the new methods of evacuating the debris, the tunnel could now easily be built in three years, instead of the pre-w-ar estimate of six years.
