ENTERING INNER AREA NEW LYNN PETITION A petition has been signed by the \ • ratepayers of the town district of New i Lynn asking that the district be in- , eluded within the boundaries of the I Waitemata Electric Power Board dis- j trict. The district is at present in the j outer area, and was taken over from the Auckland Electric Power Board in November. 1925. when there were 48 ; consumers. The effect of being in the outer ar* :i is that consumers have to pay 5 per | cent, extra for their current as an addii tional surcharge, and when they are included in the inner area the charges : ! will be the same as in the rest of the i Waitemata Power Board district. There ' j are now 850 connections, j The petition will be presented to the | Governor-General on January 14.
