FINES FOR LABOURER

Although Leslie John W'alding. a 20-year-old labourer, denied using obsence language in Broadway, Newmarket, he was fined £2 for the offence in the Police Court this morning. To Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M.. Walding admitted being drunk. and he was fined 5s on that charge.

Walding denied that a constable had originally told him to go home. “The constable simply took me to a taxi and drove me away,” he said.
