BRIGADIER W. S. COTTRILL
(DIVISIONAL COMMANDER, SALVATION ARMY) /YNCE more we rejoice in the Spirit of Christmas. How poor the world '' would be without it. This Spirit is beautifully expressed in the charming words, sweetly sung long ago by the angelic choir: "Glory to God in the Highest; on earth peace, good will toward men.” W T e think of others at Christmas time —distant friends, home, children, while the poor and needy make their pathetic appeal to our hearts. How good it is to feel that Jesus Christ still thinks lovingly and tenderly of us all. , Without Christ there would never have been a Christmas, and to-day there can be no true Spirit of Christmas without His presence. How beautiful It is to give and receive at this season! W r e all niay share in the abundance of His gifts. May I invite you to give Him your heart, so that you may have the priceless gift of forgiveness—happiness—usefulness and Heaven at last?
