UNSUCCESSFUL CHALLENGE
THAMES RETAINS RITCHIE BOWLING BADGES (From Our Own Correspondent) THAMES, To-day. Successful again were Messrs. Ritchie, Lloyd, Johns and Cameron (skip), the holders of the Thames Bowling Club Memorial badges, when on Saturday they withstood a challenge from Messrs. Mutton, Boyle, Palmer and H. Cordes. The scores were: Holders 23 and challengers 17. Other games played during the afternoon were;— Chilton, Taylor, Strange. Newman, 24, L»eat Holman, Hosking, Buchan, Alexander. 11; Bird, Wallace, Gooder, Delainore, IS, heat Griffin Graham, Pratt, Smith, 14; Murray, Long, Masefield, 31, beat Jackson, Gordon, Adamson, 14Dodd, McCullough, E. Newman, 24, beat Gleeson, Shand, G. Cordes, 16. The club is holding a pairs tournament on Boxing Day.
