CONFECTIONER’S SHILLING FINE (From Our Own Correspondent) WHANG ARE I, Sunday. In a reserved judgment delivered yesterday, Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M., found Ivan R. L. Brown, a Whangarei confectioner, guilty of agreeing to dispose of property to be divided among persons by chance. A fine of Is without costs was imposed. Accused charged 6d for guesses of the weight of a Christmas tree.
