PIGEON FLYING
The North Shore Flying Pigeon Club held its old bird championship race last Saturday, the birds dying from Palmerston North, a distance of 260. miles. The club’s challenge trophy was won bv Mr. E. Andrews’s “Silent Cruiser,” with a velocity of 90 yards a minute, Mr. H. E. Crowhurst's “Glenburn” being second, with Mr. W. Walker’s “Ascot Pride” third.
