BOY’S BRAVE RESCUE

TAKAPUNA COUNCIL’S APPRECIATION The Takapuna Borough Council has resolved that the appreciation of the borough be conveyed to Donald Foote, the boy who recently rescued another lad from drowning at Takapuna Beach. It has also been decided to bring the rescue under the notice of the Royal Humane Society. In moving this, Cr. J. W. Hayden said that the action of the lad in rushing to assist the other, under the impression that the victim had been seized by a shark, showed great heroism.
