700,000 PERSONS ILL WITH INFLUENZA IN UNITED STATES
(United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Received 9.35 a.m. WASHINGTON, Wednesday. Complete reports from 42 States which are on file by the United States Public Health Service indicated that over 700,000 persons are afflicted by influenza. Although the official reports accounted for only 141,000, new cases In the week ending December 15, officials estimated that these were less than a fifth of the total number.
