BETTER GREENS FOR GOLFERS
BRITISH RESEARCH BOARD (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 1.9 p.m, LONDON, Tuesday. All the 2,000 golf clubs in Great Britain are being asked to subscribe £2 each a year to establish a Board of Research for scientific investigation into green-keeping problems, on which at present they are spending £1,000,000 a year. Acknowledged experts of the Ministry of Agriculture, agricultural colleges and the Rothamsted Experimental Station are co-operating.
