NURSE IN DANGER ZONE

At the inquest into the death of Doris Laveracß, aged eight, who was electrocuted while on the operating table at the Hull Infirmary, a verdict of accidental death nras returned. ' A radiologist said that the nurse unwittingly approached the danger zone beyond the fluorescent stream, placing herself in an ideal position in relation to the overhead leads from the high-tension system, thus completing the circuit and giving a shock which was sufficient to electrocute the child.
