DOCTOR FINED £IOO FOR FALSE RETURN OF INCOME-TAX
Reed. 11.10 a.m. BRISBANE. To-day. A fijie of £IOO, ill default six months' imprisonment, was imposed °h Harold Savige, a medical practitioner, for having submitted a false income-tax return. The defendant was also ordered to Pay double the amount of tax he evaded, which amounted approximately to £175.
