A STRONG tone is registered on 'Change for all the giltedged securities. Union Bank of Australias have anxious buyers at £.15 11s. no shares are offering, while New Zealand Insurance have firmed considerably in the last week, these shares are now worth about 46s 3d.

In the banking section. Commercial j r>f Australia are in demand at 30s 9d, i [National of New Zealand remain firm, National of Australasia, are eagerly sought after at £9 6s 6d. A sale was reported in these shares at: 13 7s last evening. Bank of New Zea- j land are steady at 61s Gd. Coal shares are receiving more at- j tention. Pukemiros have firmed to buyers 655, sellers 695. Renown Col- ! Jieries, ord. and pref., have steady buy- J era, while Taupiri, both issues, are in j demand. * • • In the shipping section, HuddartParker, ord. and pref., are sought after j at market rates. P. and O (deferred stock) are firm and have persistent j buyers at 555. shares unoffered, Union Steam have buyers at 20s 3d, sellers , appearing at 21s. 000 In the brewery section, Innes, both ord. and pref. issues, have many buy- !

ers. New Zealand remain steady, while Staples are sought after at 40s 9d, no sellers quoting. Milne and Choyce shares are still in demand. The debenture stock has buyers at 25s 9d, sellers 26s 6d. New Zealand Farmers’ Fertiliser are quoted with buyers 19s 3d, no sellers. Wilsons (N.Z.)
