A STRONG tone is registered on 'Change for all the giltedged securities. Union Bank of Australias have anxious buyers at £.15 11s. no shares are offering, while New Zealand Insurance have firmed considerably in the last week, these shares are now worth about 46s 3d.

In the banking section. Commercial j r>f Australia are in demand at 30s 9d, i [National of New Zealand remain firm, National of Australasia, are eagerly sought after at £9 6s 6d. A sale was reported in these shares at: 13 7s last evening. Bank of New Zea- j land are steady at 61s Gd. Coal shares are receiving more at- j tention. Pukemiros have firmed to buyers 655, sellers 695. Renown Col- !
