WOMAN BANKRUPT
CREDITORS SYMPATHETIC | A venture in motor-carrying proved j unfortunate for Blanche Sarah Hamil- | ton, a married woman, of Papakura. j She met sympathetic creditors this | morning, for they passed a motion | that Mrs. Hamilton’s discharge from | bankruptcy should be facilitated. IrirI ther, they expresesd their sympathy I with the bankrupt. j Mrs. Hamilton’s financial statement j said that £568 6s lOd was the amount j due to unsecured creditors, and £1,030 Jto secured creditors. Securities were estimated to produce £1,600. In the assets, £3O was stated to be the value of the furniture, and, with the surplus from the securities, the total assets i were £6OO. A nominal surplus from S the assets of £3l 13s 2d was given, j Mrs. Hamilton said that she had had | misfortune with motor-trucks she had I taken over, and there had been illness I in her family. j One creditor remarked that the creditors were perhaps partly to | blame for allowing so much credit to | the bankrupt.
