Sir, — Your excellent article in Saturday's Sun regarding the mosquito pest in Auckland must be appreciated by those who suffer from this unnecessary affliction. May I emphasise the desirability of the committee’s attention being directed to the Waitakere Ranges? Last Christmas holidays were almost spoiled for some who were staying in the ranges, and I personally had to leave three days before my intention owing to the savage attacks by these insects, in spite of liberal spraying,
